Friday evening in the Gaslight Theater, General Grant will speak about his boyhood in Georgetown and its lifelong impact on him.  General Grant speaks at 7:00 pm.  There is a $5 fee for adults.  (This event is a fundraiser for the U. S. Grant Boyhood Home association.)

There will be a History walk of Georgetown led by Dr. Ned Lodwick on Saturday; tours of the Boyhood Home (all day Saturday).  A speaker’s tent is also to be busy with a strong line-up of speakers: Author Lonnie Bret Griffith will talk about his book, “Thomas Hamer-His Lost Letters”, a period magic show with Professor Faris (with his pet magic snake ‘Snako’), a talk on Robert Smalls by Millie Henley; and much more.  Please come and honor the man who won the American Civil War and became the 18th President of the United States!
