President Grant is nearing the end of his second term as President as Governor John M. Stone is in his first term as Governor of Mississippi.  The President has been graciously invited by the Tishomingo County Historical and Genealogical Society to come to the Old Tishomingo County Court House and talk with Governor Stone about Reconstruction in Mississippi.  The two officials will discuss the matter for the benefit of the public so that all may gain a greater understanding of the era following the American Civil War.

President Grant invites all, who may be able to attend, to come and meet Governor Stone (portrayed by Dr. Ben Kitchens, a local resident) and himself at the Historic Old Tishomingo County Court House.

For further information about the event, contact: Tishomingohistory.com or by Signal Corps # 662-423-3500 or visit them (and like them) on Facebook at: Tishomingo County Historical and Genealogical Society
