The Headquarters of General U. S. Grant, as it looked in April of 1865, will be re-created on the grounds of the Wilmer McClean house on the week-end of April 20-21, 2013.  The encampment will be portrayed by the Living Historian group ‘Lincoln’s Generals’.

The Headquarters will show the public how General Grant’s center of operations looked in the Spring of 1865 with his General’s, support staff officer’s and the army around him at the Headquarters of the Army of the Potomac.
