The Camp Nelson Civil War Heritage Park is in Nicholasville, KY, and was the third largest USCT recruiting depot in the country during the War, mustering in more than 10,000 USCT’s.  It also was the mustering-in site for several regiments of white troops from Tennessee and Kentucky.
