General Grant will be a guest of honor attending the Black Tie Ball and Gala at Beauvoir, the last home of Confederate President Jefferson Davis, Saturday night, June 1st, 2013.
General Grant is shown with Bertram Hayes-Davis, direct descendant of President Davis and Director of Beauvoir.
The Ball will be held to honor the dedication and opening of the Jefferson Davis Presidential Library at Beauvoir at 10:00 am, on Monday, June 3rd.
Julia Grant will accompany the General. They will be on the grounds, and in the home, during the weekend to welcome visitors and guests for the Ball and the opening of the Presidential Library.
